WOW! NOW THAT'S CLEAN !!!

A week ago, I had the opportunity to fix another customers crawlspace.  To give you some description; the crawlspace was under a sunken living room and was between 12" and 18" high in most places... so no crawling... dragging oneself was the only way to move around.  Initially, it had fiberglass insulation installed in the floor joists, which had all fallen down everywhere with the humidity, and wiring of every sort lying on the dirt.  So after cleaning the majority of the fiberglass insulation out (see Before picture), and hanging the mess of wires, I installed 2" foam insulation on the concrete walls and 4" foam in the rim joists, spray foaming and taping all the joints...(elbows, rib cage and hip bones taking a beating!)  I then installed the CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation wrap on the walls and across the floor to encapsulate the crawlspace neatly and airtight.  The customers retired Dad had been keeping me company and watching the whole thing unfold from the 2' x 2' doorway.  He commented how, when I first started, there was a lot of cold air coming out of the space and he had been cold... but could immediately tell the difference once the insulation was up and could feel warmth once the CleanSpace was installed (see After picture).  But, the reason I write this is to let you in on the amazing part... you see, when I was slithering around, I got twisted up enough to tear my silver chain off of my neck. :(   So I tossed the chain to the front where my handy "Dad" audience was and asked him to put it in a safe place so I would remember to take it.  He did so, and I kept on working until I was done the job.  When I slithered back to the front of the crawlspace to leave, imagine my surprise when I saw a very very VERY tiny silver chain loop lying on the clean white surface of the CleanSpace. (see picture).  Can you imagine seeing or finding something that small in a old dingy moldy gross dirt crawlspace?  Not a chance of that happening!!! But in the sparkling white, immaculately clean crawlspace.... no problemo!
