WET BASEMENT!!! What do I do to fix this right?

I hear from so many of my customers that they are confused by all the ideas out there about how to fix their basement seepage and waterproofing problems. Some contractors want to dig up the entire outside and put weeping tile in. Some want to stick some products in the wall cracks. Others think to change the landscaping, the eavestroughing, the sidewalks, the garage pad.  NONE of them fully explain to the customer the scenario- WHY is this happening?, WHAT is causing it to happen? and WHAT can I do to fix it?  It's hard to blame them when they have had NO formal waterproofing training. The contractors have not attended any classes, not had any formal training... they are just basing their ideas on stuff they've surfed the internet for,(like you) or they are trying to copy something someone else did without understanding why they are doing it.

When I go to a home and explain to the Homeowners WHAT is happening and WHY, we have a in depth conversation complete with all sorts of questions and describing events that a homeowner might not ever put together by themselves. We design a waterproofing system that gets the homeowner ALL the outcomes and goals they are trying to achieve. Other contractors can't do that, because they don't have all the knowledge they need to do so.

So, WHEN you have a waterproofing or seepage issue, don't just slap together some kind of fix because it's cheap and quick... You will end up spending all sorts of money, thinking you've got it beat, only to have the problem over and over again.  DO IT RIGHT...ONCE!!
